| B.o.B at Lollapalooza '10 taken by Mikey B |
In celebration of Dillo Day at Northwestern University I decided I wanted to write about the headliner, B.o.B. From mix tapes to his debut album "B.o.B The Adventures of Bobby Ray", B.o.B has slowly made his presence known. Three songs really raised him up from "the blackness", those three are: Nothing On You Ft. Bruno Mars, Magic Ft. Rivers Cuomo and of course, Airplanes ft. Haley Williams of Paramore. Those three songs alone made him a phenomenon. In August of 2010, B.o.B was part of Lollapalooza in Chicago IL. Even though he played as the first act on the first day, there was no one else that could have started that festival off with such a bang. His energy was off the charts and it really got the crowd going crazy. I highly recommend seeing him live when you get the opportunity to.
Moving on....... In early December, B.o.B followed up his album with a mix tape titled "No Genre". The mix tape has 16 tracks of pure B.o.B at his best. Top Tracks (based off my own opinion) are Beast Mode, Feet Don't Fail Me Now, Shoot Up The Station, and the revamped version of Higher. So give that mix tape a listen and feel free to let me know how much you enjoy it. Finally if you are in the area of Evanston tomorrow, go see B.o.B at 8:45pm.
Till Next Time, This is Mikey B, Pop Pop!
